Heat Pumps
Heat pumps convert warmth from the surrounding atmosphere into heat that is then used to heat water. The process is similar to how a fridge works, except the other way around.
They can save around 60% of your water heating costs when compared to an existing electric hot water system.
There is some noise when running, as air is blown through a condenser so they are not recommended to be installed near a bedroom window.
They easily retrofit to replace existing external electric hot water systems.
